Our bodies were designed to shake when the sympathetic nervous system (fight/flight) is activated by trauma and stress to release the energetic charge. However, we have been conditioned to believe that shaking shows weakness, so we brace ourselves and suppress this healthy and natural process. Instead of releasing this energy, it remains trapped in our bodies and keeps us in a heightened state and on alert for possible danger. Over time, this causes things like chronic pain, tension, anxiety, depression, digestive issues, problems in interpersonal relationships, lack of motivation and patterns of fear-based thinking.
By reintroducing controlled tremoring to the body, we are slowly discharging this deeply stored physical and emotional trauma. As stress, tension and trauma are released, the nervous system begins to regulate, the mind becomes calmer, and the body begins to heal.
